Thursday Evenings 04th May - 13th July 2017
6.1 Miles / Elevation 76m (250ft)
Teesdale CRC host the 'Club 10km TT' every Thursday evening during early to mid-summer. It is as much of a social gathering as it is about racing and league points. The race element is done by the book; there is a signing-on sheet, a number and you are started off at minute intervals. Racing is against the clock and ultimately against yourself, you don't need to spend a king's ransom on a specialist Time Trial bike, an ordinary road bike will do so come and give it a go.
A short, fast, road time trial event taking in an undulating 10km loop from the Four Alls, Ovington will be held for 16 weeks through the summer. If you are interested in giving it a go please try to be at the startline in Ovington at 7:00pm on a Thursday, entry is £2.00 for Teesdale CRC members and £3.00 for non-members. Riders from in or around town usually depart from the "Three Horse Shoes" at 6.45pm for a warmup spin to the event start
There are no team tactics, it is up to you as a rider how hard you push yourself around the 10km course. As you come to more events you can compare your previous times to see how you did.
The pre-race and post-race banter is friendly and most of the participants ride over from Barnard Castle to the meeting point at 'The Four Alls Inn', Ovington.
